Ankur Jindal

Managing Director
Mizuho

Sachi builds the carbon models and ESG frameworks that turn Ankur has spent nearly two decades advising industrial companies on the transactions that define their futures — M&A, capital raises, and strategic transformations at billion-dollar scale.

Ankur is a Managing Director at Mizuho, where he has led investment banking coverage for industrial clients across paper and packaging and flow control sectors for over twelve years. In that time, he has been involved in over 40 transactions totalling $50 billion — spanning M&A advisory, IPOs, follow-on offerings, private placements, equity-linked transactions, and leveraged buyouts.

His career in industrial investment banking began at Credit Suisse and continued at Citi, where he worked in the Global Industrials Group advising large global industrial clients on acquisitions, divestitures, and spin-offs. Before moving into finance, he worked as a Process Engineer at Lurgi — giving him a technical foundation in industrial operations that few investment bankers carry into the deal room.

He holds an MBA in Finance from Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Master of Technology in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi.

What I’d love to discuss during the event

  • Packaging and paper are under significant sustainability pressure, from Extended Producer Responsibility regulations to circular economy mandates. How is that reshaping M&A strategy and valuation across the sector?
  • Industrial companies are increasingly being evaluated on their transition readiness by investors and acquirers alike. How much is ESG actually influencing deal dynamics in practice, versus in presentation?
  • Capital markets for industrial businesses are evolving rapidly, with private credit and alternative financing structures reshaping traditional paths. What does that mean for how industrial companies think about their capital structures?
