From Writing Code to Living Light: Why I’m Building Sprih
I’ve always loved building things from scratch, clean code, elegant architecture, and systems that can scale. At Arkin Networks, I was part of the early engineering team that built a world-class enterprise platform, one that eventually reached a global scale and became part of VMware’s portfolio. It was intense, rewarding, and it taught me what it takes to turn an idea into a product, and a product into a business.
But outside of work, I’ve always lived by a different set of values. I’m someone who deeply believes in the philosophy of reduce, reuse, and respect. I find peace in nature, and I’ve always tried to live lightly, minimising waste, avoiding excess, and being intentional with how I consume.
At some point, those two worlds, my work and my way of life, started to feel disconnected.
That’s when the idea of Sprih started taking shape. I didn’t want to keep building just for consumption; I wanted to build for impact. And I realised that the same engineering principles I’ve relied on for years, simplicity, scale, and clarity, are exactly what sustainability needs right now.
At Sprih, I get to bring both sides of who I am into the work: the builder and the believer. We’re designing systems that make it easier for businesses to act on their climate goals, not just measure emissions, but manage them with intelligence and intention.
For me, this isn’t just a startup. It’s a way to bring what I know and who I am into alignment, and hopefully, leave the world a little better than I found it.
