Lydia has spent fifteen years closing deals at the frontier of biomedical innovation — and is now applying that same commercial discipline to one of the hardest problems in climate: scaling carbon removal into the healthcare sector.

Lydia brings an unusual combination to the carbon removal space: the scientific rigor of a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the commercial instincts of a senior business development executive, and fifteen years of experience negotiating complex licensing transactions across precision oncology, gene editing, and platform biotechnology.

At Climeworks — the company pioneering direct air capture at scale — she leads the healthcare carbon removal business in the US, working to bring durable, high-integrity carbon removal into the decarbonization strategies of life sciences companies. Before this, she held senior BD roles at Johnson & Johnson, Inari, and Philips, completing licensing deals and platform collaborations that span oncology therapeutics, gene editing, and public-private healthcare partnerships. She holds an MBA with distinction from Alliance Manchester Business School and completed executive leadership training at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

She is also a board director, mentor with the Termeer Foundation, and a consistent advocate for women in science and business leadership.
