Naresh is a senior risk and investment professional with deep expertise across market risk, counterparty credit risk, model risk, and derivatives — built over a career spanning investment banking and buy-side institutions across New York and London.
At OKX, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, he serves as Global Head of Financial Risk Review and Assessment — overseeing market, credit, liquidity, and model risk management across an enterprise serving millions of clients in over 180 countries. He brings the full weight of institutional-grade risk thinking to an asset class that is still building its governance infrastructure.
He is also an Adjunct Professor at NYU, where he has taught graduate courses in real-time risk management, model risk, crypto derivatives, and AI and ML applications in finance for over a decade. His academic background is unusually rigorous: a PhD in Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mathematics from the University of Illinois, with a doctoral focus on chaos theory and nonlinear dynamical systems — a foundation that shapes how he thinks about uncertainty, complexity, and the limits of predictive models. He holds a research fellowship at Caltech and has published fifteen papers in peer-reviewed international journals.
